Christmas Adverts 2016 – The Story So Far

I do like Christmas adverts. I tend to watch out for the first ones appearing, judge them harshly against each other and then be soundly bored of them by the 20th December when the DFS Boxing Day Sale adverts are starting.

Nowadays, I don’t actually see the adverts on the TV, seeing as I fast forward everything or watch on-demand. The best way of watching adverts now is on Youtube.

So, using the power of my Internet connection, I’ve hunted through Youtube for this year’s early attempts at making you spend your hard earned pennies.

Aldi

Not really sure what to make of this. Attempting to create some kind of franchise here I think but, maybe I’m a cynic I just don’t think it works.

Very

This is kinda sweet, and very Christmassy. I’m not a big fan of the sugar coated heart stuff really, but it’s still quite good.

TK Max

Now THIS is good, very funny and worthwhile. Very Christmassy.

Morrisons

Another fun advert. The kid looks a bit like the kid from A Christmas Story. I’m all in for this advert.

And that’s it for this post. There are a few more, but some are even less interesting, I’ll probably follow up next week.
